Ethereal dream pop artist Leslie Bear who writes music as Long Beard has just released new collaborative single 'Posters' with Ryan Galloway from Crying. There's no sign of a new album, but this single is a welcome return from Long Beard and shows her embracing a different sound. 'Posters' features her distinctive silky guitar tones and gentle hushed vocals washing over distinctly 80s sounding drums, synth and bass - its got a nostalgic dreamy feel with a bouncing pop pulse. Speaking about the collaboration and how it pushed her writing in a new direction, "I sent him the bare bones of the song, which was just vocals and guitar, and then he added drums, synths, and bass... This was the first time I feel like I really focused on a song from a production standpoint and wanted to step away from my comfort zone by making something that’s structurally and sonically more pop oriented." Check out the video directed by Katie Sweeney here. -Toby Evans-Jesra
